[ after searching for clue most of the day and finding nothing, ookurikara has finally retreated back to the armory. when shess arrives, he's standing before the repair tools, wondering if he should take these with him when he tries again tomorrow.
the only acknowledgement he'll give shess is a slight turn of his head to see who's arrived. ]
[ he'd left as soon as they'd announced mary's corruptions, visions of the history revisionists with their corrupted swords in his mind as he fled to tend to tsurumaru. did something similar happen to mary? is that what it was?
and why does he care, when he'd only met the girl a few times? she'd broken tsuru. shouldn't he be happy that they'd found out who did it?
he's not though, and instead of trying to figure out why, exactly, that is, he focuses intently on cleaning the shards left behind. he's scrubbing at one when he hears the voice from the tablet. his hand slows, giving away that he's heard, but he doesn't look up or respond.
[ he isn't necessarily looking for shess so much as trying to walk off the frustration of speaking with lune and sol, but when he sees the familiar pink hoodie near the top of the mountain, it occurs to kara that maybe talking to him would help. he's been trying to decipher what lune said, and what to do about it, but he hasn't gotten far just yet.

[ they're the obvious guess, but they said they can't provide "rewards" unless they complete some task... and this isn't the reward lune seemed to decide kara would want for his own task. so why...? ]
also shess is very proud that kara isn't being stupidly reckless and is actually taking proper care of his wounds, good job kara.]
I'm not certain, though I suppose we can always ask. But if it has anything to do with our actions in the gateway, I don't think they're directly involved.
[ after breakfast is done, kara goes looking for shess. when he finds him in the flower garden, kara approaches quietly, as if trying not to disturb what little peace there is in this village. ]
[ kara doesn't ignore shess or walk away, but he also doesn't offer a wave or a hello. he's still not particularly happy? with shess or his experience with the boggart? so... what does shess want. ]
[ kara's heading to the garden because apparently that's where the old men like to hang out? he has a small bundle of zunda mochi with him that he sets down beside shess once he spots the cat ears. hello shess. ]
[ later in the afternoon, kara goes looking for shess. he checks the usual places - the houses, the gardens, the air elemental area... when he's not in any of those spots, he heads back to the village to look around again.
he's really not expecting to find shess in the boutique, but. that's fine. he found him. ]
[it's definitely an unusual place to find shess, but he's there, in a change of clothes besides his cat-eared hat. it seems like he's just about to leave when kara approaches.

[ this time kara's gone off exploring, so he's down by the gateway's lake, sitting to practice his magic somewhere quiet. apparently the dragons have other ideas, though, because there are a number of small ones curled up around him - a few at his sides, one at his feet (because he wouldn't let it stay in his lap), and even one that's stolen ao's spot on his shoulders. the little squirrel is curled up a few feet away, napping like there's nothing weird about it at all while kara tries to make shapes with the fire in his hands.
he does look up when shess approaches, and with his loss of concentration the flames roll themselves back into a ball. did you want something, shess? ]
[ haha well this sure is an experience! after the trial, kara is... well, he's looking a little lost? he was thoroughly distracted while trying to cook dinner, but now he's wandering toward the housing area with a small, wrapped bundle in his hand.
[ SO ANYWAY sometime on tuesday, probably after digimon battles? kara is going to go find shess! wherever he is, kara heads right over, skipping the pleasantries as usual. ]
