[ he sleeps because he's basically human now and it's awful :\
with that suggestion, he'll pick up the doll and turn it over in his hands. its usefulness is still up for debate, but... onmyouji seem to like them. ]
Folding it wouldn't... take away its power, would it?
[ kara basically knows fuckall about omyoudou except that it exists lmao ]
I asked another member of the group, and they gave me an additional detail.
They met a native of the gateway world, corrupted by the darkness. However, they didn't have to kill him. When they knocked him out, that was enough to bring him back to normal.
Unfortunately, they were forced out of the area before they could finish interrogating him. The only thing they got from him were the words, "Maybe there are other ways to snuff out the darkness if we keep getting rid of it as it spreads."
[ it sounds more like a statement than a question, and kara's obviously still irritated by that. to his credit, though, he listens closely to what shess tells him. ]
So there are other ways... Rendering him unconscious was all it took?
[ but if that's the case, then why wouldn't they try that first, instead of jumping straight to executions? all Sol said was...
...well. it sounds like they were different situations, so maybe the same logic doesn't apply. ]
How were they forced out? Were they transported again?
One of them prefers that I not tell anyone else, given that Nana ended up dead the same week. I can ask the other one I spoke to if they're all right with telling you.
Sounds like it. The exact words used were "we were spat out".
"Revenge isn't the only purpose of darkness. There's another reason. To save someone. To save someone, you must save yourself. Return to where you once came, and find a clear path."

There are books she can learn from.
no subject
Learning from another person is probably easier.

I'm already teaching people. I don't need more.

[shess is trying to make friends for you, you ass.]
no subject
...As long as she stays out of the way.
no subject
She's good at listening.
Anyway, I guess we should first decide if we're going to keep these items together, or if it'd be better to split them up.
no subject
If you say so.
[ in the meantime he'll just shrug and try not to think about a potential spirit in that sword, because that would be weird somehow. ]
If I take either, it's staying with me. I don't like the idea of leaving them lying around.

[actually do swords sleep, has kara been a part of the non-sleeping club all along and was just never invited]

[shifting his tablet to one hand, he picks up the sword.]
no subject
Can you wield it with that?
[ obviously shess can handle himself with a weapon, but... he can't use the tablet with it, and that seems like a problem. ]
no subject
Not really. But if I'm ever face to face with a corrupted, talking probably isn't going to do me much good anyway.
no subject
The ones who saw the darkness before - can you tell me anything else about them, or what happened?
[ right to the point. ]

It would be easier asking someone who was there.
Was that before or after those... puzzles they had to do?

That doesn't make any sense.

...Alright. Is that all?
