I asked Lune, which was how I received that answer. When I brought up the idea of unique abilities, he confirmed it was from another one of us, using "an ability that may have been granted to anyone, but not everyone".
Apparently. It appeared when they played a cassette and then disappeared when they finished the puzzles, which is why they thought they might've affected it but weren't sure.
I'll be confirming this with another, but that's what I've gathered so far.
It didn't speak, or do anything else? It just tried to hold them back?
[ this isn't really giving them much more to go off of, if that's the case. though it's... interesting that it didn't appear until they played something. ]
No, they still seemed confused by the entire thing. I suspect that the way it manifested was related more to this specific world—the one through the gate—than the darkness overall.
Why would Lune tell me to ask them if they can't tell us anything new?
[ kara shakes his head, dismayed. in that case... ]
He must be saying to find the ones with those... other abilities.
[ whatever those are. but even the partnering ability has done more to fight the darkness than most of them, from where ookurikara is standing - there's just no way of knowing who has it now, unless they step forward. ]

How do you know it was from them?

So you don't know who they are yet.

Lune said that if we find them, they can tell us more about what's happening - what they're doing to contain this "darkness" they keep talking about.
[ kara looks frustrated, though. ]
But he didn't say how, or what to look for.

Of course, as said, he could also have been referring to the group that encountered the darkness earlier this week.

[ ookurikara is also useless by virtue of paying no attention to anyone ]

You're not going to run off and interrogate them if I tell you, are you? It sounds as though they already had quite a difficult time.
[don't scare them.....]

We need more than vague words in order to do anything. If they've seen it, we need to know what we're dealing with.

Why don't I tell you what they told me?
no subject
Fine.

To begin with, they woke up to find themselves elsewhere, so it wasn't a voluntary investigation on their part.

Did Sol and Lune send them? Or was it random?
no subject
[or at least shess will. unsure if kara can have a civil conversation with either of them.]
Though given Lune and Sol's position of relative noninterference, I doubt they were involved.

Something else they didn't bother warning us about, then.

In any case, the group had to do puzzles to escape. I imagine you would have disliked the situation greatly.
[kara does not seem like the puzzle-solving type.]

not
that this really helps them out much here ]
And the darkness?
[ there's no way it's just a fucking puzzle. ]
no subject
But never as a person.

[ there has to be more to it than this if it's bringing people to murder. ]

I'll be confirming this with another, but that's what I've gathered so far.

[ this isn't really giving them much more to go off of, if that's the case. though it's... interesting that it didn't appear until they played something. ]
Did they learn anything more about it?
