[ Shess gets to Minato's hesitation about the kitchen before he even says anything, and he's really grateful for that, because then he doesn't have to explain why he's avoiding the kitchen as long as he can help it. Good. Great. Kara, stay there and don't look for them. ]

Alright. If we think hard enough, maybe they'll show up. That's sort of how it's been for the kitchen, right?

[ "No reason not to try" is what Minato tends to live by, just doing whatever he can because he can and there's nobody here to stop him— it worked before, at least, but people here keep trying to stop him...

He and Shess are on the same page about this, though, so he nods and starts off for the kitchen, frequent glances over his shoulder to make sure Kara hasn't come out of the hall. He doesn't breathe easy until they're actually in the kitchen and he can stand facing the door at all times with the counter in front of him just in case. ]

No, I guess I just sort of assumed we got lucky, that the Darkness never took that one person each week. I haven't heard anything about it, nor have I had the role, as far as I'm aware of.

I see. It does switch every week, since I know a few people who've had it. I don't know who had it last week, though.

Does it matter last week, if nobody died or had to be partnered? ...I could help ask around and find out who it was, if it's really important.

I'm just curious. I don't think the same person can get the role twice, so it helps to know who wouldn't have it in any given week.

[ Whoo! The door is already slightly ajar when they arrive, and there's nobody inside so one of them just have just left it that way, but Minato gestures for Shess to pull up a chair or bed or idk what's in these rooms, but I'm going to say there's a dresser so Minato can set the bread on top of that, and also set along the edge of the table a wooden carving of a button quail, a wooden carving of a shiba inu, and a small potted cactus. It's not a party without friends! Very flammable friends. ]
