It's fine. I just have some experience with my memories being altered against my will, so it reminded me of that.

[ that doesn't surprise them - it hasn't come up with anybody, but gem memories are easily altered, provided one isn't a particularly hard-to-break gem. The idea of having them changed or lost isn't unusual. ]

The Primeval God of Creation. She chose to correct an "error" of the universe, and in the process, everyone lost their memories of it.

... That's troublesome.

[ what can they say? It's hard to imagine something like that happening, even if losing memories by itself is strange. ]

Can you get them back? [ a pause. ] Or maybe it's better if you don't get them back.

It's fine. I remember them now.

[ they're not going to push him for details. If the mistake was big enough for a god to step in and fix it, it must have been unpleasant. So that's all they say, lapsing into silence as they gaze at the flowers. ]
